Contact Admin. Location of the hotel is great, close to the beach, and the central area of Las Palmas, close to shopping area. There are many local shops and pubs. Rooms were cleaned every day, spotted clean room service.
Breakfast was a rich choice of cooked breakfast, fruits, vegs, continental breakfast. The only downside is the cleanliness of the cutleries, glasses. I found glasses with lipstick on few times. Reported to the kitchen staff, but seems the issue was not solved, as the lipstick glasses continued to appear.
Cutleries were not very clean as well. This was the only issue that put me off. The kitchen staff were very busy, running around during breakfast, and were struggling to manage to re-stock finished food and drinks. Very kind and friendly staff otherwise.
If the above issue is taken under consideration, the quality of the hotel would be remarkable. No ventilation in the bathrooms. Majority of staff have basic English speaking levels, some did not speak English, but communication was not a big issue. Car parking at walking distance, cost 12 Euros per day for guests of the hotel. For a week stay cost us 45 Euros. Lovely and pleasant roof top, with plants, sitting areas, swimming pool, bar.
Very nice in overall. Recommendation- consider the dish washer quality. Hotel Astoria was the starting point of our day holiday in Gran Canary.
