The honey loops were over-fried black outside and smelled bad quality oil. A superb bakery and patisserie - well worth visiting Sitia for heavenly cakes and coffee overlooking the harbour. Traditional Greek pastries and cakes, some of the very best we have had in Greece, such a nice location too.
No matter of it will be the famous sweet "galaktobureko" or "baklava" or traditional Greek coffee say Turkish coffee or whatever else a good caffee may offer Im an addict of galaktoboureko, so visited with high hopes - but they don't sell it by the slice, even if you sit down for a coffee. I cant manage a whole one so I never tried it.
Did have a couple of pieces We tasted the '' galaktoboureko''. Fresh, home made, velvet cream.. You have to taste it. Ice creams are also home made with fresh milk. You should really try the dough balls with chocolate and ice cream. Saturday morning the place was crowded, the service was poor, only 2 people for 70 customers. We waited to order about 10 minutes.
